This is the first picture i took with a telephoto lens and it really makes the posts look flat.
This second picture was taken with my 18mm lens but i moved right next to the posts so that they appeared the same size as they did in the picture above. You can see by doing this that you have a better depth of field. You can see that the objects are not side by side in a row but actually in a sort of curve shape.
